The Industry Health Network

The Industry Health Network is a fully integrated network of health care professionals delivering quality, managed care to entertainment community employees, retirees, and families belonging to the Motion Picture Industry Health Plan, Screen Actors Guild, Directors Guild of America, and Writers Guild of America; along with the Industry Advantage/CaliforniaCare HMO members who have selected the Industry Health Network as their primary care medical group. Offering over 500 Network physicians, we are able o meet health care needs, while limiting out-of-pocket costs to the participants.

The Industry Health Network is made up of:

Primary Care

Primary care is provided through the Fund’s Health Centers in Woodland Hills, Hollywood, Burbank/Toluca Lake, West Los Angeles, and Santa Clarita.  Our primary care physicians treat adults and children age 13 and over and are staffed by physicians in the Motion Picture & Television Fund Medical Group, Inc. For younger children, call our Customer Service Department for a referral to a network pediatrician.

Specialty Care

Usually your primary care physician can provide all the care you need.  But if you or a family member requires specialized treatment, your physician will gladly refer you to a network specialist.  Specialty services are offered by carefully selected, contracted, independent physicians throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.  Over 500 Network physicians are available to meet the entertainment community’s health care needs.

Surgery/Hospitalization

If you should have a condition that requires surgery or hospitalization, it is available at the 256-bed Motion Picture and Television Hospital (MPTH) in Woodland Hills and in the West Valley, at West Hills Hospital & Medical Center for services not provided at  MPTH.  Hospitalization is also available at prestigious tertiary facilities located close to Fund health centers.  These tertiary hospitals currently include Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, Saint Johns Hospital and Health Center, and Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.
