The Lucille and Melville Shavelson Media Room

Welcome to your Channel 22!

The Lucille and Melville Shavelson Media Room, an in-house production studio and television network located on the third floor of the Fran and Ray Stark Villa, allows residents to receive television programming that is broadcast directly into their rooms.  Channel 22’s multi-generational staff and crew work together to develop and create meaningful programming which informs, involves, and inspires all residents, patients, volunteers, and staff.   Working at their own television station provides residents access to new technology and outlets for their creative expression in production and broadcasting.

“The Motion Picture & Television Fund is filled with some of the most creative people in the business, many of whom are pioneers in their fields.  It only makes sense that we would have a way for them to continue to be a part of the industry and also celebrate their past.”
-Mel Shavelson

Channel 22 works to create and continue fulfilling relationships by developing programs and services in partnership with current industry professionals, organizations, and corporations.
