Insurance Assistance
We’ve Got You Covered….
The Motion Picture & Television Fund has a program that provides temporary assistance with insurance premiums.
The Program:
- For applicants who lost (or will soon lose) health insurance coverage.
- Duration: Up to 3 months.
- Type of assistance: 2/3 of total insurance premium (includes families/ dependents).
Eligible to apply once every two years.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Worked in California motion picture and television industry for 3 out of the last 6 years.
- These 3 years must meet eligibility requirements: an “eligible year” is a calendar year in which an industry member meets a minimum annual amount of earnings ($7,500) or hours (400) within the entertainment industry. A MPTF social worker will assist interested applicants in establishing their eligibility.
