We Care about You and Your Family
We can help enhance the quality of life for you and your family through inpatient and outpatient MPTF Social Services. For inpatients, services are coordinated in acute care, and skilled-nursing settings. Outpatient services include crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and referral to various community and other services.
MPTF Social Services are provided by licensed or degreed social workers. These programs are available through Social Services.

Clinical Services
Our staff can address such issues as problems of daily living, career challenges, losses and bereavement. Various techniques are used, including psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, support groups and short-term individual and family counseling.
Temporary Financial Assistance
Temporary financial assistance is available for qualifying industry members who experience financial hardship due to illness, disability, unemployment or other reasons. Apply Now. You may be eligible for health insurance premium support through the Health Insurance Premium Support Program.
Writers Guild of America west (WGAw) has established a special fund exclusive to WGAw members. Social Services administrates the Good & Welfare Fund, which helps WGAw members in acute financial distress meet their basic needs.
Directors Guild - Producer Training Program (DGPTP) has established the Michael P. Schoenbrun Emergency Loan Fund for current and recently graduated members of its trainee program.

Community Information/Referral
Our social workers have compiled a large collection of health and human service resources. Through this special program and service knowledge, they can assist you in identifying your needs and in coordinating a comprehensive plan to enhance your quality of life.
Elder Connection, the Industry's Trusted Resource
Through our Elder Connection program, we provide free assessments by phone, local home visits, support groups, brief counseling, information and referrals, and unique programs to serve people in their homes for community services designed to meet the health and human needs of the elderly and the frail.
