What Is the Pet Care Program?

The MPTF Pet Care Program offers a helping hand to older adults living on fixed income with the purchase of pet food, pet supplies, veterinarian care, and boarding if the owner experiences a passing medical condition or is hospitalized.

The program’s goal is to put the ease back into pet ownership so seniors may continue to reap the health benefits associated with having a pet without the stress or worry.

What Are Pool Buddies/Fitness Floor Buddies?

Volunteers are matched with seniors who may need assistance getting in and out of the pool or with the fitness equipment at the Saban Center for Health and Wellness. Seniors who love the water, but may have balance or coordination challenges, can go back into the water thanks to their Pool Buddy. Fitness Buddies assist seniors with the work out equipment on the fitness floor.
